Most service businesses do not know this number, because a missed call leaves no trace. Put in three figures you do know and this works out the rest. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no email form.
This is arithmetic, not a forecast. It assumes a missed call converts at the same rate as an answered one, which is generous: some callers ring back, and some were never going to buy. Treat the result as an upper bound on what is on the table, not as money you are guaranteed to recover.
Any inbound call that does not reach a human: after-hours, while you are on a job, while the line is busy, or rings out. Voicemail counts as missed, because most callers do not leave one and instead call the next business on the list.
For a one or two person trades business it is often higher, because calls arrive while you are working. For a business with a dedicated front desk during business hours it is usually lower, with the losses concentrated in evenings and weekends. Change the number to yours.
No, and anyone claiming otherwise is selling. It answers the calls, takes the details and books what it can. Some callers will still want a person, and some jobs need a quote only you can give. The honest framing is that it converts a portion of the missed bucket, not all of it.
